In at last

We moved into house on wed 21st of october.Still alot of small things to be done but great to be finally in it. Slowly but surely we will now add the finishing touches.

groundworks

Nothing but rain all this week. Not good for completeing groundworks and percolation. Have to make man hole for well cover. Track machine broke down the last 2 weekends so lost alot of time..New fuel filter put in but still not working so need to replace for this weekend..Hope to get percolation in this weekend.
Wooden floors to be ordered for next week along with skirting and extra door. Should be in by october all going well..

Doors

With the help of the number one choice prop in tullow rugby club..the doors are installed in the house..Myself and Ivan glynn put in the walnut shaker doors on friday and saturday.

Still nearly there

So close..but a few things still to be done... We should be living in it by september, if not i will be in mental home.

Water and oil burner electrics still have to be done..hook up burner and pump into house. (wes)
Painting will be completed today...
Kitchen half installed..need to move two plugs and appliances to be installed
Doors and skirting to be done by myself and ivan..3 doors hung already..10 to go...
Sanitaryware: All shower units in and sanitary ware installed.
Groundworks should be complete this weekend...percolation grid to be made with pipes and connected up..also filling around site...Manhole to be build around well area for future access.

Will need holiday after this, but unfortunatley funds will be low. Quick tip if you decide to build a house remember you will have alot of delays and may become frustrated. So just take a deep breath and have a beer , it will be worth it in the end. A year from now i will be asking myself what was all that about.(or maybe how am i going to pay for all this)

August 09 - nearly there

Getting close now..just have a few niggly bits to tie up..Oil tank has to be connected(thanks to ivan -built up blocks for tanks)..water needs to be brought from well pump etc...We got power in house on friday 7th august..wesley wired whole mains box. Inside tiling an painting still in progress. Kitchen will be deilverd next week to be fitted....doors arriving this week to be fitted......along with skirting boards. (at least tiler is using tile as skirting in all bathrooms, will save us fitting even more skirting)

Plumber has installed most of sanitory ware....hoping to be moved in around end of september./ start of october. fingers crossed..

Fireplaces

Have aquired to fine Fireplaces..still have to install

may 09 - plastering complete, stone finished and scaffolding returned

Front porch roof finished....all stonework complete..plasterwork inside totally finished.Scaffolding taken down and returned..next stage will be to begin groundworks, setic tank and percolation system...

Stone work completed

Stone work completed...on fri 2nd may 2009. 40mm depth stone cladding attached with ardex adhesive 7GLX

Insulation completed

Insulation completed on the 9th of april..slabbing by plasterer begun on 10th of april...good friday and saturday it was worked on

April 09

Progress on inside is slow but getting there. Electrical 1st fitting is to be completed today 8th april. Fascia and soffit to be attached today. Outside stone facing to be done next week after fascia is applied. Inside insulation is to commence today and thursday so to allow plastererer to begin slabbing upstairs etc.

March - progress

Well has been located and drilled. Stone delivered and ready to be applied...Electrical first fixing nearly complete.. Solar panels to be put up next week.

Outside plastering complete.

Outside plastering complete. Roof complete except for outside porch..stone needs to be fitted before the porch roof is completed.
